Westcoast head 3-bond?? sealent??

I have new o-rings for my westcoast head, what i want to know is if i should install with 3-bond or some sealent??? should i just 3 bond the top one or both?? or should i use greese, which is what i have done in the past..

Id also be intrested to know if anyone is running a ep7500 westcoast head on a bored 750, mine is 779cc and the pipe is dam close to the o-rings.

I would use the good high temp blue or black RTV silicone. I used that all the time on my Pro-tec oringed head for many years and never had a problem. Also it is what pro-tec recommended.
Just silicone the head real good, then torque it down and let it dry overnight.

Yeah, only use the RTV to seal where there isn't an oring. On the protec head mentioned above there is no oring to seal the water jacket.

Yes, Pro-tec made standard heads(non-removable domes) with O-rings and the instructions said to use the blue or black RTV.
I just smeared a thin layer of the blue RTV over everything including the o-rings then installed. If i had to take the head off for some reason, I would clean it up and put new orings in and re-seal it. I ran that head on a Riva SS ported 61X cyl. @190 lbs. compression for over 15 years without a problem.

i had those Pro-tec taper bored carbs tuned in so well that I never even ran a return line on them.. I spent WAY to much money with Pro-tec and Riva "back in the day" .. i was a young man with new credit cards.

Those domes will be very close to falling into the bore, plus they tend to be difficult to seal anyway. You will be a lot better off with a stock sxi or sxr head.
