Whats the weather usually like down there in Jan? Like day and night temps, and water temps? Most people usually wear wet suits? :stups:

It gets damn cold for us locals but the Canadians think it's summer.

Wetsuit is a must IMO.

Bring a 2/3 full. Rode boardshorts during the ride, but it got to high of 55F and windy as hell the week after the ride last year. Suit was needed.

lastt daytona i rode the whole week before and the weekend with jus a rash gaurd and board shorts

It can be 80s or it can be 60s. I've been there when it's been sunny & warm. I've also spent the weekend wearing a hoody & freezing my buns off. Best advice is just be prepared for the worst & hope for the best.

yup. and don't forget that the strong breezes off the ocean can make 60 feel like 40, especially if the sun hides from us. With any luck, it could be in teh 70's and sunny

Weather is very fickle down here this time of year, all depends on how far south the cold fronts reach. The last few fronts didn't hit us and we've been breaking record daily highs this week, today is a high of 77, sun. is supposed to be 80, then it drops out and into the 50's sun night. My adivse is be prepared for anything from 40 and raining to 80 and sunny. Expect water in the 60's.
