Weak spark after sinking.

Buddy of mine sunk his X2. We got all the water out and attempted to get it fired but it would not. So we fogged the hell out of it to make sure it wouldnt rust.

Now after some work, we find out that the sparks are super weak. We dried all the connections , electric boxes and flywheel cover. Spark is still not strong enough. Its very light and bounce around the electrode instead of a steady center spark.

Anyone has got an idea....?

Try a known GOOD CDI if you have access to one.

I run a 550 ebox in our x2.

Good luck.

are they the same?? well not the same but work?

if you sink you ski you really should take the front cover off, water often pushes past the seal.. if you have done that, pull the boots off the leads and test the spark, likly to get water in there, replace the plugs, and if its still no good then the cdi will prob be the problem, also check the stop switch!
