few of us are looking to come down for a few days on our spring break, looking for a spot where we can ride from the beach like daytona. it looks the beach zone is only open on the weekends and holidays at daytona so that wouldn't work too well.

any other places down there like that? :poke:

thanks in advance

i think we wanted to stay on the east coast of FL cause it is a shorter drive.

that sebby ride looks fun, but you launch from the park and ride out the inlet?

any where around there you can launch from the beach by any chance? or night life?

thanks guys

Ive been wondering the rules for daytona. You say only weekends?? that blows... im going this summer with some friends and id love to bring a ski or 2

The weekend only thing is fairly new. Daytona used to be 7 days and New Smyrna was weekend only. It wouldn't hurt to call.
Unless you want to launch in an inlet or take your chances with the law, those are the only two beach launch zones on the east coast. Vilano inlet at St. Augustine puts you really close and sometimes on a break depending on wave conditions. Some inlets give you a further ride than others, but for the most part most inlets have decent access.

What kind of night life are you looking for? St. Auggy is laid back mostly. If you ride Ponce inlet and stay in Daytona, you'll be in the middle of club type nightlife.

well i called the lifeguard station and talked to some people, they still rope off the ski area they just usually don't have a guard sitting there unless there are people there. she assured me that we could ride all week.

didn't realize that the week we want to go is bike week, so it will be a mess down there, but i think we still might make it down.

night life wise isn't our main concern, looking to ride and relax and get some beers at night where ever.

any good hotels that are trailer friendly? the days in i called said they do not have parking.

If it's bike week, forget it. I wouldn't dare try to find a place to stay. I know attendance will be down due to the economy, but in years past they book every single hotel full within at least 45min of Daytona. You'll grow to hate motorcycles more than you thought possible if you do make it down. Sebastian inlet is definitely low key and will be much much less crowded. Cracker and some other locals will most likely ride with you too.....

well its the only time we can come, 2 of the guys coming ride harley's so its not a huge turn off.

most the hotels i have called already have lots of rooms available, the trick is finding a place that has rooms for a trailer. we are looking down by the south bridge (Dunlawton Ave?)
