I'm thinking about buying a Waveblaster, but the front end has been repaired. The owner says it does not leak. How hard will this be to make pretty? Just alot of sanding and a new coat of resin?

Houston area. I have a little glass experience, so I think it'll be a good end of summer, long weekend project if I pick it up. Tips for repair?

You can get an estimate from Kustom Kolors in Pearland, but it won't be cheap.

You need someone who can do boat glass on the side, or be willing to learn and itch a lot.

It actually looks pretty good from the inside shot, the outside looks like ass, grind all that BS off the outside and start over would be my suggestion.

did you smack the guy who patched that thing!!!! I agree the inside looked good so youre probably fine but the outside doesnt even look like the cloth was saturated. have fun with it then give fixing it a shot yourself. You will be much happier if you do it yourself:)

The guy I bought it from bought it this way from a body shop in Arkansas. The inside is nice and reinforced as back as far as the engine opening. Time to buy some Harbor Freight sanders and epoxy.

Ok, I finally want to order the stuff to make this hull look pretty. The outside glass work is showing little cracks, but I'm pretty sure its still holding water. Just looks ugly. I need:

Epoxy Resin
Filler (West 410?)
Mixing cups
Stir sticks

Anything else besides sandpaper? I mix the filler in with the resin and hardener, right?
