Waveblaster cables, C.A.T.S cable(s) & Throttle cable 1100 swap

Hi guys. Not new to ski's but fairly new to swaps so please be gentle. I have a B1 with a Stock Yamaha 1100 swap and the throttle cable is starting to fray. What do you guys use, the blaster or raider cable when you do the swap or can either be used? The swap was in it when I got it.

Also, what cable(s) do you guys use for your C.A.T. systems? I have a Raider trim nozzle coming and a lever. Thanks in advance.

I haven't made it that far yet. I just finished rockering the ski a few weeks ago. I have the nozzle, cable and lever but am waiting on new bars. The stock bars are too narrow to fit the lever. I'll post up my setup when I get a chance to dive into it. Here's my ski currently:

It the cable stainless because if not, it'll rust quick. That's my only concern with universal cables. I can't seem to find a long, universal, stainless cable so I was hoping someone that's built a C.A.T.S. set up already could let us know what they used. I've searched for this on this site too and cannot find the answer. Let me know how that cable works out for ya. Thanks for sharing the info.

Ok, it says they are stainless. Nice find man! Yeah, definitely let me know how it works out. I'm very interested in a stainless cable that long at that price!

I bought the same cable today at a local bike shop. It's 11 1/2 feet long. Long enough for the ski. It does say it's stainless so it should do the trick!

Everywhere I have been reading about this cable states the cable housing is 3500mm long (or about 11.5 feet), but the longes cable is only 2500mm (8.4 feet). I copied the specs below from the Jagwire site.

I got mine at 3500mm and then just bought the housing to match. Over here in Canada it was 7.95 for the cable and 1.00 a foot for the housing. I ran it all yesterday. It's smooth (I know it's brand new). But I think it'll work for now till I buy myself a thrust trim

Ahhhh, I see. I'll have to check my local bike shop to see if they sell stainless cable by the foot. Thanks for the tips man!

A raider trim nozzle bolts right up. Use the entire Waveraider nozzle set up, the steering nozzle, trim ring and reduction nozzle. I'm making a bracket that will come off of one of the mount bolts to hold the cable. Pretty simple.

Once you've made that bracket take a pic. Curious to see it. As of right now the stock mounting bracket I've shortened and drilled a hole in it length wise and attached a stop at the end of the cable. But I'm not getting enough throw on the trim nozzle

I'm thinking of using 2 cables, 1st cable from the handle bar lever to a lever set up in the hull, & the 2nd cable from the lever in the hull to the nozzle, to get more throw out of it. If the 1st cable connects to the lever in the hull in the middle of the lever and the 2nd cable going to the pump is connected to the end of the lever, it should double the throw. I don't think a single cable, straight pull is going to give me as much as I want. It'll probably be twice as hard to pull. We'll see. Trial and error is all part of the fun. I just hate wasting money though! lol

I have the same boat 1100 yamaha blaster. You can buy a 93-94 throttle cable which is cheaper that the 95-96. The only thing you need to do is to move the throttle plate from the top to the bottom (where the throttle attaches) to the carb. You have to remove 2 bolts

For the trim on my SuperJet and T1, I use a cable from TerryCable in California. Phone800) 854-4691 The specific cable is: SP435 - Trim Nozzle (11 ft.) I want to say it was something like $79 for it, don't remember for sure. I'll take a pic of the new one I have.

I've been using their cables for years without any issues.

I used the raider because it is shorter. Plus, it was in better shape than mine at the time.
