Blaster Waveblaster 1 or 2?

Hey all I'm looking to get another ski to jump waves in the inlet of south Jersey. I have a seadoo gti155 I use to ride the back bays. I'm not sure which model would be best for me. I'm 6'1" 200lbs. It'll be mostly for jumping waves. Any input be great I know it's mostly your own opinion but I'd like to hear what you think!

IMO the WB1 is the better choice for waves. We have one and out in Lake Michigan in 2-4 foot waves it's awesome. The WB II is just too big and heavy. Good luck!

I'm sure both will jump waves if big enough. I have never ridden the WB2 but has always seemed so close to a couch. I have ridden and owned a WB1 before and almost as much fun as a standup. I won't sit down anymore so a WB1 really surprised me, I kinda miss it now that I think about it

Yup, about 385 lbs. Really heavy beast........ We use to have one. They are great in the surf, just dont flat land!

So what you think be a better choice. Right now I have a 2008 seadoo gti 155, 1989 Kawasaki 650sx and my gf has a 1991 superjet. Just looking for something else for me and her to try

B2 has more power and is more stable. B1 you can manhandle more. B1 will be harder to deepwater start until you learn to started it hanging off and literally using it to pull you up on. B2 you can just climb on the rear or deppwater start. Honestly, you need to test both.

Me personally would go with a B1. But would have no issue with a B2. A B1 is like a motocross bike where as a B2 os more like the old Honda 250r 4wheeler racer.

I like the b2. I would love to build a 1200 b2. Or a kawi1100 / yamaha1200 Seadoo hx. Both hulls are great, and would be more amazing with more power.

However, those hulls are not as welcomed at freerides. You won't be riding you b2 at the Daytona freeride in januraury.

For that reason alone I kept the b1 over a b2 / gp1200.

b2 is fun, but is more "glued" to the water compared to the b1. B1 you can hop completely out of the water and throw around like it owes you money. I was not able to get the b2 out of the water without a decent wake to jump. The only correct choice is to buy both. :)

I owned the '96 B2 but quickly sold it and bought an HX years ago. I still own the HX and now own 2- B1's. If I remember correctly the B2 in '96 was yellow and '97 was green. They were made only two years with the '97 having a factory trim. I never rode the '97 with trim but that ski was not forgiving in rough water. It had a porpoise problem and gave my wife and I a headache. Buy the B1 and forget about the B2. Imo a '96 XP would be a more enjoyable, stable craft with that small light feel.

B2 1200 with trim gets up out of the water.

Haha my old ass has three ski types. I ride the superjet, when I get tired I ride the B1, When my old ass cannot ride those I will ride the B2. If I'm just being lazy I get on the B2. Plenty of people will talk down about the B2, call it a couch whatever. If it makes you happy beat the poop out of it an have fun.

B1 with a B2 steering cable.

What is that all about? I am not sure what difference it makes but you have my attention. I have plenty of couch steering cables hanging in the garage and two B1 hulls.

B2 cable is thicker, more stable, less flex. Great upgrade to a B1.
