Waveblaster 1 can’t tune high jet

What made you decide to run a 2.0 seat? Not sure why anyone would do that on a sub 1000cc engine.

What is the popoff? I have a blaster set the same but I run a 145. 1.2 turns out. 38psi popoff

Wouldn't you change the n&s to dial in your pop off? Especially if you are near the 150 range on the main jet? Just curious...

The water was scalding hot and steaming out of the poster. I pulled the head and one piston was completely clean the other very little black on it. Looked like water on the piston. The water has never been that hot before. I’ll put a new gasket in today and see what happens. Only have cheapo head gasket though.
Guessing the piston with the little black on it may be the rear? If the top of the piston is clean you're likely running rich. I kind of think you would be in the 120-125 range on the pilot and in the 140-145 range on the main. Go through all of your fuel line routing twice and make sure its all correct clean, no breaks in the line in the fuel tank etc. Make sure you water lines are routed right, not clogged, and that your pipe doesnt have the adjusters set anywhere crazy, for example maybe put it somewhere like top closed, middle 1/8th, bottom 1/4 to start.

You have to be on point with everything down to making sure that your gasket surfaces are immaculate when putting on the new one. Dont leave anything up for question...the most minor thing will mimic many other problems that appear to be something it's not...

Changing the regulator (pop off) affects part throttle mixture (pilot jet) a lot but does little at full throttle. Do not go into tuning a carb with any ideas about what jets it needs. That’s a great way to melt a piston!

Well I changed the head gasket. Cleaned everything real good with razor and carb cleaner. Sprayed copper gasket spray on my cheapo head gasket and tightened it down. Ran it fir a couple of min with 150 main with no luck so changed it back to 2.0 seat 120 pilot 155 main and tightened the head again to spec then got it to bog once at 3 turns out but now I can’t even do that. She runs like a scalded dog at two turns out but so weird. All my lines are clear. Pulled the pickup tube. The screen there is clean guess I could bypass this new fuel filter just to see. Think I’ll do that and spray starting fluid all over just to see if I get a reaction on the stand. This sucks

Needle and seat does affect popoff. Absolutely. But a 1.5 needle can flow more flow than a 701-850cc engine could ever burn. So unless a guy wants tuning issues. He'd stick with a 1.5 imo. Always worked for me
