Question about launching:
Is the only ramp the one at the end of Garfield rd? I went there yesterday and if it is the one, this is what I found:
Single ramp, water depth seemed to be about a couple of feet, then you have to walk your ski about 200 feet through the narrow channel (there were a lot of kids swimming) then past a sandbar and finally out into the big lake. As an alternative launch area, do any of you locals know if it is feasible to launch at Whitehall then just ride up to the campground beach?

Help I'm trying to make it! Any one have a Electric site that I can arrive Thur. ( pay of coarse at the gate) and stay the weekend in that site? Also I usually bring a 10 x 20 shelter that gets lit-up at night which i would bring if it fits the plan of the camp site! Many met me at lanier's: Highroller, Marsh, King., even chuck so they can vouch for me. Please call or email lguempel@brick.net 314 640 7305. You can launch where ever you want, but the best place is right where you were.

That sounds like the place! Just head south to the campground... it's about a 10 minute ride but you can't miss 30 standups on the beach!

a buddy and I have site 9 which is electric, well be there late friday b/c he cant get off work early and we have 6 hrs to drive, should be fun to find in the dark. Anyone is welcome to stop by and use the power for batteries, lights, blenders, whatever. Cant wait to to get there.

Thanks for the kind words "king" and "high" Its allways refreshing to here in this mean world! I resv. 63 its got juce to cook waffels! This is nice I dont have to plan for a STL stand up club ride! I cant wait to be sitting on the beach looking at skies drinking a diet pepsi (dam doctores). And maybe Marsh can give me BR pointers... Lou

awesome lou, glad ur coming. brother-in-law and i will be headed up friday morning. i know i offered marsh a spot on our site (#10) but not sure if hes gonna be there or worked something else out.

If anybody is still unsure of having a place to stay, I have site 37 for Friday and Saturday (I won't be arriving till late Friday) anybody is welcome to throw up a tent or sleep in their car. It will only be me and my wife, 1 car/trailer and 1 small tent so there is lots of room.
