Hi Just spent a week at our coast in the uk, and have got the stand up bug big time, I have got to grips with the turns and stuff.
Now at the end of my week i was doing well and started wave jumping landing and riding out, my only problem is as i jump the wave the ski tends to go straight up and come down with the nose still up, i can not seam to level the ski out, i just go up like a rocket:banghead:. do any of you have any hints on this.

If you level it out you will land flat. Lift your feet to level it out if you'd like. Straps or holds help, if not just push your feet out against the sides of the tray.

Flat landings arn't too pretty after a while.

Usually you will want to land slightly tail down, or nose down. If your nose enters the water first the landing is softer. Just hold on and keep your arms tight so you don't lose take the bars in the teeth.

A nose stab is a 180 landing nose down. If you are just landing nose first after a straight air, you are going to suck a lot of water.

Whatever you do, hold on for your landings. If you let go of your ski, there is a good chance you'll land on it/it will land on you.

stand with one foot forward and bend your knees and bring them up towards your stomach as you go off the wave to level the ski out....you can flat land fine from 10feet no problem if you absorb the impact correctly...for some reason most guys when they jump always go SUPER nose high and personally i think it looks really really really bad...just start small and keep working up to it...stay light on your feet when you land and use your knees again to absorb the impact...

Thanks for the replys and help , as im only just starting i was only clearing 5 to 6 feet , but i really do think it looks bad style to land back first and feels out of control, the more power i gave it the higher the nose went till i flipped the ski and left me behind:eek5: , i will deffo try the leg thing to level it out,
