YouTube - Wave House PB

When I was in San Diego we rode the Wave House "kiddie wave" and got killed... the first 2min of the video is us sucking and then it kicks into the good guys on the big wave for the rest of the time... That wave was harder than anything I have ever tried... it was like wakeboarding w/o a rope... imagine trying to balance like that....

I think it was:
Matt Smith
Jarrod
227 (forgot your damn name too) :boggled:
Me
Ross

250$ per hour for 10 people... not bad

That's some cool vid, there! The first two minutes were (for me) a bit like I imagine watching a cat fight is for guys, I kept thinking some shorts might come off!

Only one. They flow some crazy amount of water. Like 9000 gallons per minute. They are called line shaft turbine pumps and they are on 14 inch wells. Bring your shovel and wheel barrow after we ride this weekend. We have to start making one. That looks like so much fun. Frank told me the continuous waves are of cruise ships now.

check their website.... there are a bunch of different ways to do it...

You have to reserve it though... no walk ups usually, becuase it's pretty popular

Those waves are a blast to ride. There was one at the resort I worked at back in the late 90's. The one we had was one of the "kiddie waves". However, it needed 4 pumps and each pump moved 20,000 gallons of water a minute. Each pump moved a sheet of water 4' wide so 4x4=16' wide wave. That's a lot of water. The first time they turned the pumps on without one of the extra generators on the resort lost power.:pat: It was pretty funny. They figured out the extra generator was needed to get them going.
