Other waterproof music

anyone have any luck with waterproof personal music players? i just bought http://www.bestboatingdeals.com/pro...b-waterproof-mp3-player-blue&cName=mp3-player and a set of headphones for it. thinking i might make a bracket for it and glue it to the back of my helmet to keep wires and stuff out of the way. figured for the price even if it didnt last longer than a season it would be worth it, always get amped up listening to music before i hit the surf and it sucks that it has to stop when i hop on the ski and hit the little green button.

Hands down the best on the market. Waterproofed from the inside. I don't ride without mine anymore. They can even waterproof your existing iPod if it's in good condition.

how do you carry it when you ride?
while that seems pretty damn sweet, its also $200 more. and thats $200 id rather buy ski parts with
figure even if the audio quality isnt that great it doesnt matter as with all the ambient noise you will lose all the nuances anyway.
anyone else?

x2 on that, and is anyone concerned about NOT being able to hear the ambient noise (boat horns, other skis behind you, etc...) I think it's illegal to drive with headphones on, is there any law for on the water??

I guess if you ride in surf w/ no one else around except guys that know what they're doing then it would work, but I ride the local area, w/ boat traffic and other couch riders so I'd be concerned about not hearing the ambient noise.

yes, i agree with being able to hear the noises going on around you, and because of that im not going to wear it anytime im riding anything besides surf. in the surf its so loud with the ski and the water i dont think i could hear anything anyway.
also contimplated just running with 1 ear phone in and one not. best of both worlds?
