I typically stay out of this forum because I don't want to know about all the things that "could" happen but someone said you guys requested it. Here is the only picture I have. I snapped it real quick while waiting for the doc to come back. It's half full of blood so not quite as nasty as it could be. Watching some of your leg move and other parts stay in place is cool for a split second then you realize how bad it is.

The wound was about 4" long with a little over 1" of exposed bone. They put 9 stitches in it and I go back in today...I guess for a quick check up.

No actually it wasn't the edge of the hull but I think the lack of edge had something to do with it. The problem is very obvious now but I didn't think much of it while I was building it. The majority of the nozzle sticks out behind the tray and then I left those two big bolts in it.

I didn't step off the back, I slipped off. I contoured the underpadding to help hold my foot but I'll slide back little by little when jumping and if I don't jam my foot back in the hold, I slide all the way out. I also have a size 9 foot so there isn't a whole lot of traction on the top or bottom of my foot helping out. Maybe I can put more padding behind my feet to prevent them from sliding.

Either way I've already ordered some motocross pants and shin/knee guards. We'll see how that goes in the middle of a humid GA summer.

Well because the water was cool I was wearing neoprene socks so obviously that makes traction worse.

Here is a current pic of the damage. It's interesting how this scar connected the two previous scars.

I scraped my shin almost exactly like that, but straight down the bone, in August '06 on the nossle of my XPL. I let go of the ski on some big air in some pretty heavy surf. It was stupid to let go and just a foot farther back and my head would of come off!! I finally get to the emergency room and then after an hour wait I have to go move my jeep cause I parked wrong. After another 3 hours I end up with 8 internal stiches and 10 external. I tend to find myself thinking about that day often.
