A sqaure's bottom deck is very slightly different in the front nose. You need to make it more 'round' using the mold so that it matches the topdeck. Bottom deck as a whole handles the same, and is the same, but the nose is of course different.

so won't it be in the neighborhood of 90lbs with reinforcement and foam?

i'm going to be conservative and say 100lbs which is right around where a stock hull is with no re-enforcement. So I guess it works out, it will be real strong for surf but not so heavy that I can't do flatwater with it.

Some sweet stuff waiting for my hull to be done and my motor I had in my square, I might be selling the oem 44's and manifold off it and going to mikuni 44's or 46's with full spec intake. I'm re-painting the head pipe and chamber cause they look like chit. I have to get a couple welds beefed up on the chamber to prevent a mid-summer machine shop trip. I'm still waiting on a hood latch, my prop, grate, and some other misc stuff too.

OK, just got done doin some work tonight. So far the bracket area is re-enforced, which I did last week. Today I got done the nose, laid carbon on the firewall, and put a layer of glass in the bottom with a layer of carbon over top. All I have left to do is the sides which I may finish tommorow night.
Still on the to do list after re-enforcement is done is to put in all the waterlines, nstall the scupper, new exhaust tube:sneaky:, footholds, foam it, then its ready for paint, then turf it and assemble it. Definetly done before may.

First pic is the nose and bracket area, the second is the bottom of the hull and the firewall.

Its been a while, but school and work are done so I have been on this thing since saturday night. I got done all the re-enforcements about a month or two ago. Since saturday night, I put everything in the back end-scupper,exhaust, waterlines etc.; water tested it, put the footholds in it, foamed it, put the handlepole assembly on it, painted my motor black, put the steering system on , throttle cable,ss switch, steering cable, front exhaust, motor mounts and strap fittings. Tommorow I plan on sealing up the tray and while thats setting up I'll do the hood seal, hood hooks, hood latch, start bolting in my motor and by the time I'm all done that I should be able to start turfing the tray and rails. I'm planning on hitting the water by friday, I don't have work or anything to worry about this week so it should be done. I just set the motor in the hull in the pictures to see how it looked in there. Everything is all dusty so I will post up better pics when everything is together and cleaned up.

Just got it turfed tonight and got the motor in last night. All I have left to do is turf the side rails, put in the pump, line up my hood, a few odds and ends and it done. Should be done Friday the 15th! Pics of the turf.

the ski is done and in the water!! THe only problem I have is that I am going to have to do something about how loud it is!! i'm going to try to take out the jetworks valve and turn out the adjusters on the pipe too see what it does. I had all of sea isle city outside seeing what the hell was making so much noise. But the power and handling of the ski is incredible. i used to same motor i had in my squarenose but i upgraded to the x-metal waterbox, skat 12/17 and tbm cone and the ski feels like it has twice as much power as before i am 1000% satisfied with this ski!!

I ran a water line into the end of my exhaust, aprox. 2" from the exit and it quieted it down a lot... (I run front exhaust only and it's not too bad)

I may have had something stuck in one of my adjusters on my headpipe because i turned it out a 1/4 turn and it was better but it felt even more rich than it was already running and i turned it back in a 1/4 turn and it didnt get any louder and it's fine now. So I think that solved my problems. The ski is awesome
