water splashing up on corner pieces

hey,


I installed some footholds and new matts a little awhile ago and notice
water was splashing up my azz from the corner pieces,

i ended up taking them off and caulking them with black silicone.. lasted 2 weeks and now im back to getting my azz splashed..

any ideas to prevent this?

Take the corner pieces off and turf the back edge at a 45 degree angle or you can just cut the back section of your ski off.

Nothing I hate worse than getting wet when I ride.

Maybe you could buy an Aquatrax splashguard and mount it on the rear of your ski.

yep, take off the corner and put sillicone where the gaps are and bolt it back on.

i dont mind getting wet... lol !!!

its just a strange feeling getting splashed when your not doing anything.. its almost like a double rooster tail..weird.. im gonna see if the trim the turf works and add some caulk while im at it...

DO NOT USE CAULK! I made that mistake many years ago and all it does is make a mess. Use 100% silicone. You can get a tube form HD or Lowes for like 3 bucks, GE makes it.

I used marine grade silicone from wal-mart and it's still holding.

My corners did that. I used black silicone sealant and it did the trick no problem. The first time I went out, it was mildly surreal. I felt something and looked down to exclaim, "What the hell???"

I used some leftover padding from my turf job and stuck it on the corners and then screwed the corner pieces in over that. Never had a problem with it in three seasons.
