yeah your on your own for that a blade will never touch my ski unless its for actual footholds. my custom ones are doing fine now and hopefully over the summer im going to go for a barrel roll i dont go often enough to keep a rithum with the trick i allways have trouble each time i go out just doing a nose stab but ill be going alot more to oceanside come march and summer so that will all change. But yeah your nuts if you do it id love to see pics and hear results.

O, im deff. not scared to try it, i think it will come out good when i figure out where to start. I think trimming the 2 inches off the hood and droppin the pole down with give enough clearance to get it around. I only ride at lake so i guess we will have to fill up the fat sack on the boat to get enough wake.

yeahall right i get you only flat water. what i do suggest is porting your cylinder then decking the bottom part of the case to lower the port timing that a pipe mod and dual carbs a good prop, board nozzle and any other wingdings you can find will only make it sweeter. should get that thing some amazing bottom braap. it will be a 0-30 ski but it will stay a 30mph ski thats the only sacrafice.
yeah go for it on a crap hull if i knew how to work with epoxy and fiber glass i would try it on a beat hull but yeah not the one i have on me no sir haha. if your looking for the dual carbs im pretty sure my boss has them dual 38's and the reed manifolds.
good luck with the hull

Yeah, i got a pp motor, mariner head thats been shaved, pro-x over sized pistons, it been ported and polished, Aluminum water box, and pjs full pipe. im prolly going this weekend to buy a 91 its gotta alot of stuff done to. MY problem was my crank seal started leaking and it went to hell but im gettin that fixed now.

alright perfect sounds like you have the compression and power just try shaving some off the bottom of the whole cylinder to bring your port timing down i havent done it yet but my boss has been suggesting it for me but my ski goes almost 56mph and with all the work and money ive put into it i dont mind it being my surf/race around ski. because if i cant make it a super jet its always fun to go faster then em.
that or with that one your picking up do it to that one's engine see how it goes. i also really suggest getting a reed motor.

Yea, the one im going to look at sat. is a 91 with the reed motor. I like the 550s better than anything ive rode. I rode a round and square nose super jet. I like the round nose but kinda steep on price and i didnt like the square nose at all. What all have you got one to get yours running 56. Mine has run close to 50 but i havent broke 50 yet. what head and intake and pipe are you running?

good those motors will do you good.
im running a PJS pipe i can show you pics later, ocean pro head, PJS top loader intake grate, 15 skat trak prop, stage III ported and decked Cylinder running 125 120 compression on stock pistons, A jet works Mikuni blackJack 44 single carb, i cant remember or really know what aftermarket waterbox i have but its not a box like one, oh yeah and a Bord nozzle that im replacing with a bigger bored ocean pro nozzle w/ the extended pump veins. I think my advantage is the type of porting my guy is Eric Stevens he worked for PJS and did all their porting back in the day. I forgot im also running low end reeds that have a top end reed attached so when you get to the high RPMs it fully opens up the second flap for more fuel and air.
my ski puts out over 9000 RPM's in the test tank.

not 100 percent sure yet havent witnessed it personaly but from what my Gordon my boss at Pacific jet sports has been telling me it will make the ski a 0-30 ski and max 30 so if your willing to kill your top end give it a shot i suggest porting and trying it on an old piston port cylinder you have or pick up for cheap. id try it but i have some parts to pay for and things to pay off
