water in engine

hey guy so today i was doing some sub and turn sub like i always do and never have any problems with getting rid of water inside. but today after a deeeep one i seemed to have gotten water in the carb so i think , got it in took off ait filter saw some water droplets in the carb tried to run it throught the motor no luck always dies. i have had water in the motor before no prob gettin it out but im stuck not. im starting to think it could be a carb problem not pumpin enough gas cause when the chokes on it run but when off it dies, by the way i like a 93 sn w/ 61x with stock never rebuilt carb with a 500gph, my question is do u think its time for carb rebuild or something other , sry for the long question and help would be great thanks

if you got water in the case, the clock is ticking. pull the plugs and crank it, does water shoot out? Get all that water out ASAP...then, you might have a residual problem with "milk" inside your carb, shot up there by the pulse line...screwing up the fuel pump. I pulled apart my '93 stock carb yesterday for the first time ever for the very same problem. Every thing looked great, except for the crap on the crankcase side of the pump diaphragm, lots of "milk" in there. Cleaned that out and it's good to go...however, i spent hours getting all the water out of the case first. My ski got completely swamped....as in only the steering nozzle was above water. That was not a fun day.
