Great, the baffle is metal. I assume stainless and is not broken. Never the less I'll secure it. My search indicated resin, any resin or you referred to it as epoxy what is the other part please.
Ya it's more about experimenting if nothing else. If I purchased new ever time I had a problem I wouldn't know anything and probably have no money left let alone find someone around here to have any desire to work on my 20 yr old ski. I refuse to buy a couch and yet that's all I see in my area. If boxes are blowing up from backfire I assume carbs must be set pretty rich dumping fuel in exhaust. Or bad porting.
We had a stock blaster box grenade on me and a friend and we fiberglassed it back together, ran the ski for years and sold it with the box still working.
i have fiber-glassed several waterboxes back together. working with fiberglass isn't very difficult once you take the initial step to do it properly. The boxes i have repaired have lasted several years
