Good chance. I have only had one hospital trip this year so far. So I am due.
I was going to turf in there, but figured that would not help unless a wrap it around the top.

I'm just saying, if there is a good chance you can get hurt on something, I can do it. I'm looking at those narrow rails and seeing them act either as a blade or as a very narrow fulcrun used to break ankles.

that's my experience and the engineer in me talking though. and I have been wrong before. I HOPE I'm wrong.

That was my thought when I saw how narrow they were.

Do they move sideways any? I do think the idea is really cool to have them flex down but I'd be afraid to slice an ankle on a barrel roll or nose stab.

I wasn't real sure what you guys are talking about at first. Those straps are flexible plastic and then turfed. They move up, down and side to side (some). You have to grab on to it or strap in it to see what I am talking about. There is no ankle breaking there. I put a lot of thought into it. This is way more safe in my opinion than sides with footholds. I thought at first you were talking about the 45's I cut in the sides behind the bulk head to meet bottom deck.

We'll see after I ride it. I may have to throw the whole thing away and start over.

Certified Bad Ass. Got to ride it today. Surf was clean and the ski was perfect. There was really zero negatives as far as working well. Definitely would recommend cutting off the sides to anyone.
