Super Jet want to run wires through the pole...need advice

2010 sj rn.
I'm running a bilge switch through the pole. I've got 16 AWG 2 wires in a jacket and was wondering if there is a trick to firstly fish them through and secondly the best way to drill out the rubber seal that meets the body without damaging anything else that's running through there. I would like to keep both wires in the jacket, but if I have two single 16 AWG wires it wouldn't be that big of a drill bit needed. Should I ditch the jacket or not?
thankx

first off what are you drilling?

there is a space in that factory rubber boot where you can snake wires through. you may have to cut the ziptie and replace.

to fish the wires through, use bailing wire/coat hanger sized metal. Push it all the way up the pole and tape the wires to the end then pull it down through the pole.
You must have the gas tank removed to do this.

sorry forgot to ask...
Im putting a straight bilge fitting where the stock pisser goes. Is a 1 inch paddle bit gonna do the trick or should I get a hole saw? Is the stock pisser location high enough above the waterline?

yes a wood bit will work on the fiberglass. Cover the spot you are drilling with blue masking tape so you don't damage the gelcoat though. As long as your bilge outlet is on the upper portion of the top deck of the ski you should be fine.

If you trace one of those green tubes. It is a vent for the battery. Unneeded.

The other is a vent for the fuel system. It is also un needed. It let's more water into the fuel system than it keeps it out. Remove one of those and put your bilge power wires through one of them.
