Basically this seat was designed for racing and 1100 conversions. It was created alongside their new aftermarket hull that Sam Nehme runs. Its a minimalists approach as you never really sit in a race situation. If you are looking for something that is smaller and more out of the way this isnt it. I would recommend the 701 ind. Seat. Can absolutely attest to the quality of this product. Been running one for about 2 years now and they are bullet-proof. Again as I said before, not a lot different size compared to stock, but a ton lighter and the one piece design makes working on the ski a breeze. Only downfalls would be a higher potential for water intrusion through the hood but that could be solved with some frog-skins or hoses to divert air/water intake flow. As far as durability....the stock hull will probably come apart where the latch bolts in the rear before any part of this hood fails...
