Dayumn...California people are testy! Must be the earthquakes, smog, high cost of living, traffic on the 101 and 405, and race riots.

To answer....D cut will allow the nose of the ski to rise out of the water more, the stocker tends to force the nose down. D cut is good for freestyle riders who need to get their skis out of the water quicker for tricks. Standard plates can achieve the same result with more weight shifting. Try a search for this topic, it's been covered in numerous posts.
