I was in Wal-mart today and saw they sell jetski batteries, comparable
to a Yuasa YB16CL-B. They were $41.00 + change.

Anyone used one of these before ? I wouldn't use it in my standup, but I have
a dead battery in my Sea-Doo (which gets ridden about six times a year), and
if I can buy a $41.00 battery for it instead of a $59.99 one, I'll do that.

Let me know if anyone has any feedback. Thanks.

i used them in the past and they worked fine. for a couch that gets ridden a couple times a year it would be great however for a standup that gets pounded on i wouldnt trust them. i run a sealed battery in my sj and blaster.

I use them. 41.00 for a battery that lasts 1-2 years, or 120.00 for one that lasts 3-6 years. I fiqure why not go with the cheap one, then if screw up and don't keep it charged over the winter at least I am not out as much money for my mistake.

I use the one that is 7/8 inch shorter and cheaper Gives me room for the tool kit and a spare set of plugs I think it is yb-16-b works great that way you can replace it every year. I think the last one I bought was $28

I used them in my couch and they worked OK at best.

They would only last 5 months at the most as the vibrations and impact would kill them quick.
I ride year round so that worked out to 2 batteries per couch on average.

Looking back I should have gotten a good battery and saved the $$ and hassle.
I guess it's true that only the rich can afford to buy the cheap things. They can afford to replace them often.

Walmart Neverstart batteries suck IMO. I've had bad luck with them. I would rather shell out $80-100 for a Odyssey or a sealed Lynn Vick battery that will last me prolly 4-5 years or maybe more.
The Neverstart battery might last you 2 years if you maintain it, have stock compression, not run bilge pumps constantly, charge it faithfully in the winter and maintain the fluids.
I just took one(Wal-mart Everstart) out of my work van that I only bought last June! It will not hold its charge... Taking it back tomorrow under warranty.

Don't do the walmart battery thing. It will cost you more over the next year. For 3 frikkin years now I have bought them and the most I got from any one battery was 8 months. I was meticulous about keeping them maintained as well. I had one odyessy in my blaster that is 4 years old, so all my skiis got them this spring.

I had two (n)everstarts in a row fail within *weeks*. Dead open circuit, something must break internally from the vibration. Within 30 days you get a free replacment, but on the second I didn't even bother.

ha never starts suck they dont hold up to the vibration i dont even try to charge them anymore never see one take it & its to much a pain to try to re install just sell new lvp maintaince free my ski sat 4 months for some reason and it still popped off with out charging it i havent had good luck with the oddsey batterys either and my parts rep says he has more of those come back than the power sorce
