It will def work. My buddy has barefooted behind a bone stock 650 sj. He also slalomed from a deep water start behind a 750sx. The 750 got him out of the water sooner than you average couch could. The slalom ski was more work for the guy on the Kawaski than the guy on the Connelly.

Here's a video barefooting behind my superjet. Water was rough and it was hard for me to get him outside my wake so he could stand. He was able to make it up for a few seconds before falling at the end of the video, but on a calmer lake he said it wouldn't of been a problem. We have also slalomed behind with out problem, when the skier cuts it really wants to pull the back end out from under you.

i know a guy who learned to slalom ski behind an x-2...

:bsflag: haha........just kidding....but people dont realize how much pull there is to get a slalom skier up....he would have to be like sitting on a dock and just pulled from there

I used to pull a slalom skier on my stock 650sx back in the late eighties. Pulled him out of the water, not off a dock. It can be done but the skier needs to be good... no b.s.... I even spun around on the hood and stood on my head while doing it (head was in the tray)
