VXR power bump

Hi, new to the forum and I have a 93 vxr pro with the 61x 701. I've been riding and thinking more power and speed would be cool, one thing Im looking into would be putting the 64X 760 cylinder, heads and pistons on my stock bottom end. IS this a good gain? Seems like Yamaha made these PWC pretty interchangeable. Im new and still not totally sure if this possible. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The 61x/61x is already a good platform and makes good power. To keep things simple and reliable, get a prop, pipe and head. In this order if you’re going to add them at different times. These will really wake it up.

Also the single carb 61X cases don't flow the best for a 760 64X cylinder. As said above head pipe and impeller. Also keep in mind that it is a VXR Pro which isn't the greatest handling and fast ski so just enjoy it for what it is.

Keep it stock and keep your eye out for a waveraider 700 760 or 1100 or zxi1100. You can pick these up for 500-1500. and will be much faster and better handling. Buy one of those and save the vxr for your friends.
