I have found with stuff like this, especially here near salt water that its very rare to find something that is not a corrosion nightmare, unless someone really took care of it.
I have a VXR exactly like that I picked up on LBI for $100 bucks. Too bad engine had water get into it and just sat completely locked up. Electrical was super clean though, and waiting to go into the number 12 ski!
still worth a try especially if you could get them down on price a little.
