VP Racing Fuel Jug - leaks - WTF?

I bought one of these brand new
and it leaks where the top screws onto the jug :rant:
I will call the online retailer tomorrow
maybe also call the manufacturer
anyone else have this problem or am I just the lucky one? :ugh2:

check the gasket. u might have to make ur own

It is REAL easy to lose the rubber gasket and not know it. Is yours there? (in the cap)?

Ours leaks also, make sure the O ring/seal is in the groove and not pinched or off center. Use both hands and make sure the top is super tight.

On my jug the small air hole at the top with the cap on it is missing.Where can you find one?

so they sent me gaskets, didn't help
found crack in cap, they replaced it
3rd time I went to use it, the ball valve froze shut
borrowed a pipe wrench from the gas station to remove it
these cans are junk! :twak:

all the square jugs ive been around tend to leak a little. ive never seen a round one leak. id be lost without mine, sure makes refilling quick and easy.

HAHAHHA! I have a red round one that leaks. I only use it to transport extra fuel when i go on long weekends. I have to pour from the red can into a different one then into my ski. But you gotta do what you gotta do when youre to broke to buy a new one!

they must have sent all the non-leakers to gadsden. none of ours leak

either that or they outsourced their manufacturing to china
because the cap that was cracked and the seized ball valve
look like typical Chinese junk!

the cheap junk ball valve says it is UPVC
Should be CPVC!
also shows no country of origin

Never really had issue with mine, however I don't use a valve just the hose.
