with the stopper up, like in the pic, it makes the petal stiffer. stiffer/high tension is usually for heavy modded race boats. light tension it more what you want. and vforce reeds do nothing on an sxr if you are running the stock intake/carb setup. i've done back to back comparison tests and sold the vforce
i'm pretty dar-n sure light tension is better for throttle response. i seriously doubt if you could notice any difference with either setting. might be more of a novelty than anything
if you like tearing your stuff apart every 2 seconds, try it both ways and let us know what you found. i envy the guy that has the patients to constantly tweek thing to see if he can get a bit more out of it. i'm like F that, it runs, beat it!
