Other Vented battery guys

I just picked up a new Yuasa YB16CLB, just wondering what you guys do with the vent hose, do you leave it connected to the battery while its in the ski? Or disconnect it.

When i picked up my 08, the yamaha dealer for some reason made a big deal about always keeping the vent hose attached...in oem form it ran up and vented into the pole where ur cables come through into the hull. So i have kept it that way....

Glad you said that because I was talking about the clear plastic tube that came with the battery. after digging around in my ski today I found the actual battery vent line that runs up into the pole...problem solved. Thanks guys
