When I was there a month ago there were signs everywhere prohibiting jetskis on all the beach fronts. You can ride the inter-coastal waterway all you want though

Freeman park at Carolina beach... Right below Wilmington... Hosts our local biannual free ride. Boat ramp 2 min from riding spot.

Edit: just took the liberty to read ur actual post instead of just the title... I believe jet skis are a no go in the outer banks.... Most places

It is becoming the norm for Jet Skis to be banned 300 feet from shore. At least Daytona Beach put in the "ride zone" for riders. Other areas seem to say "screw them". One idiot injures or kills someone on a beach and EVERYONE pays the price. Seems communist to me. I agree with laws that attempt to work for the masses, but I disagree when the law takes the easy rode and just banns things to grease a few squeaky wheels.

We used to ride in Walton county in FL away from people and the general population until some idiots on rentals started running people over and now its NO ONE can beach a ski in Walton County. WTF, Really, there was no other solution? No way to set up ride zones, no way to dedicate a very small portion of 50 miles of beach to jet skiers? Its total BS. To me its like saying NO MORE MOTOR CYCLES ON PUBLIC roads because they are too dangerous. Or no more cars that do over 70 mph allowed on our roads.
If they would look harder at the situation they would see it was mostly inexperienced riders on rentals in HIGHLY populated beach areas that were the majority of the problem and they could have simply designated areas for them to operate it and areas for private owners to operate as well. But I am sure there was a fat lazy, overpaid (by tax dollars) politician somewhere listening to a fat lazy head of city beach patrol wining that his people had an issue and this was the easiest, quickest way to grease the squeaky wining. IMO the beaches and waters near them should not be OWNED BY ANYONE. Patrolled for safety and certain operations designated to certain areas YES, but not outlawed to anyone completely.

Threads like this get me going, sorry for the rant but F-k it pisses me off when a guy cannot go somewhere on vacation and do what he likes to do because of our lazy azz overpaid government, be it local or federal they are all there to cash in on OUR MONEY while doing as little as possible to improve our daily lives.
