reeds are not bolt on hp. they are a great addition to the whole package. with a carbon reeds the petals have a life, i replace mine once a year. it's good maintenance, like checking your heap pipe screws. most that you are going to see with reed is throttle response, i noticed it when you set up for a turn, then hammer the throttle again, ski is spot on; but that is also have you correct impeller and carbs dialed in. some say the gain top end, i really haven't ever felt it, i have boyesen reeds in my dirt bike, outboards and my ski's.

If you go Vforce you will need to purchase the reed blocks. You can't use the standard cages. Reeds do give yo better response and more top end power. A friend of mine purchased a new sxr at the same time as me and I installed vforce3 cages and I could pull boat lengths over him in a drag race.

anyone run v-force on sxr?work the money?great add=on?

on the sxr, if you are running stock carbs, Vforce reeds do nothing at all. if you are running a dry or wet pipe, they still do nothing. the only time that they do help, is if you are running huge carbs and your motor needs more air. stock reeds last a long time. even if they hang open slightly, they arent bad. carbon tech reeds come in different thickness and tension. low tension is for increased bottom end, stiffer if for more top. i've got a set of new low tension carbon tech petals if you cant find any elsewhere. at 3x the price, vforce aint worth it.
