Yes...the midshaft assembly is one style from 90-93, and new style from 94-present.
The bottom case half is the same for ALL 650's, 61x 701's, 62T 701's, and 760's.

There is no spacing issue. You do not need different engine mounts. Your best bet is to exchange the entire midshaft assembly you have for the other style. THAT IS ALL YOU NEED!
You do not need billet couplers. THat's money better spent elsewhere.
The pumps are all interchangeable and all bolt up just fine. All you need is a different bearing housing - nothing else.

I think the price is negotiable - Dan told me he was probably going to attack it with a sawzall and haul it off to the dump if nobody bought it.

It's not titled, has a couple impact sites & stress cracks throughout the hull.

Even all that is looking better to me at the moment...

The smaller bolt pattern tells me that the older style midshaft housing will see more stress as I load up the driveline. I'm guessing I'll be breaking this part soon enough.

I'll take your midshaft housing - and transplant my shaft and coupler. Hopefully that will work for a while.

Let's talk Monday and get the shipping ironed out.

You still thinking of going on the 18th Dennis? No way I can do it, but I got my fill of riding in this year. We should have gone yesterday to Mukilteo, the wind probably made great conditions.

LB on the 18th? Yeah, I think I'll load the camper up and haul the family down to see what it's all about...

I wouldn't mind going out before then to make sure the 650 is in working shape. You up for this weekend? I might have to work so if you want to go, let's plan for meeting around 3ish or so.

Hey Matt E:

PM sent regarding shipping & paypal...

I have the bottom of my hull well under way to being ready to mount parts. I'm keeping them off until I'm done flipping it over. I'm currently working over the cracks (reworking old repairs & working the one major crack).

Here's a before pic (pretty gnarley):

If you're at all curious about progress (think I should just start a rebuild thread at this point), here's an after pic of the inside repair - a before pic of the outside of the same crack. Bad lookin' stuff, but something I can actually repair...

Matt_E - I got the housing & fit it to the hull...

I checked part numbers and your housing happens to be from a 650 before 93 as there's no grease fitting. My circlips will fit, but I'll have to custom size a bearing (part numbers are different), and buy the old style oil seals (also part number differences).

I'm quite happy about the whole thing - this means I'm back in business!

Thanks!
