I was looking at a Twist head at PWCT...

Here's a pic (better then I can explain)

So, after reading his first reply to a PM in which I asked him a few Q's, he hinted (or perhaps clervely wrote) it was ready to run (domes were fine) I PM'd him this:

"since you say that it is running around 200-210 since you took it off, does that mean it comes with other domes? Looks one is ruined from a blown topend????"

And he replied:

"I have ran this head for awhile the way it is this is the only set of domes I have for it!! has ran fine!!"

Is it just me or is that dome on there unusable???? He's got a low post count, so I'm not sure if hes running a scam and even looked at the pics he posted or is just spewing BS?

It could be run, but sharp edges like that will contribute to detonation. You could buy the head cheap and take a dremel to sand down the high spots if you were on a budget.

same as above you could use it but i would not and you could take a die grinder to it and have a great head i run a twist head and they are as good as any other besides if you are running pump gas you dont want that sort of comp any way so when you open the dome to lower the comp all those shrapnel marks will be gone

I saw one of my co workers one time fill in the divots with JB weld then come back and smooth it out and it was almost like new didnt look it but it was reformed back to it. you could try that

I'd be afraid under the thousands of explosions a minute process the JB weld would work less and kill off the engine

The other question is? Who's got any of the special plastic headgaskets for it anymore...I'm all sold out, and with twist being out of business for quite some time, that's a problem.
