most local paint and body shop supply houses around here do not sell epoxy resin, only polyester.

MX, spend 10.00 and get the pumps, it makes it really easy, no measuring needed.

With the epoxy, it is a necessity unless you have a scale, or some other way to measure it out damn near perfectly. I think West advertises that there is something like a 3% range where the ratio can be off before affecting strength. That molecule for molecule stuff is serious bidness apparently

never been to one that doesn't sell epoxy.... I beg to differ

I 100% agree that the pumps are mandatory... they make em for all different epoxy makers

Nick, you live in Daytona, they do alot more glass repair in that part of the country........... Move to alabama or any state inland, go to any Oreilly;s, Autozone, Advanced auto....... Polyester Resin by Bondo in the green/blue container is all you will find.........

I purchase all my stuff at Fiberglass Coatings Inc. they have the worlds largest display of fiberglass materials. http://www.fgci.com/

E-mail them for one of their huge catalogs because the web site is not very user friendly unless you know exactly what you're looking for.

None of the body shop suppliers here sells epoxy resin not even smc resin.I have checked every single one too!!

My local PPG dealer and Sherman Williams paint/autobody suppliers here in Havasu sell the Evercoat Everfix epoxy resin, but it is real expensive and not the greatest for laminating(poor viscosity/thickish, but its strong stuff.
I used it a long time ago on my square nose when I pulled the whole handle pole bracket out of the hull. Glassed it all back together with Evercoat Everfix epoxy resin, and its held up to much more abuse.

The best is West IMO, but the US composites is what I used for reinforcing and its been great with a great price too!

I am not sure what these guys charge for shipping but their prices are great ,by far the cheapest I have seen yet............

This place is like the Super Wal-Mart of fiberglass materials and they have three locations in Florida which supply most of the major boat builders.

Do yourself a favor and send away for their catalog because they don't have everything listed on the web site.

man i was in heaven when i was in daytona, you could find anything down there as far as stainless etc, glass, even had gallons of dap. here we have one drawer at lowes with stainless and if your lucky pint cans of dap.
