Urgent help

Long story short.

I sent my motor to Team Scream this winter and built a new boat. I have been working on putting at all back together this week and have a hold up. I planned on dumping the ski in the water for the first ride tom.

Problem 1: I had Team Scream do there exhaust mod to my factoy pipe. Basically they water jacket the exit end of the stinger so its bigger. Well the black pipe the goes to the water box wont fit over the new fitting they welded on to the stinger. I went to the hardware and couldnt find anything. Im guessing it doesnt have to be the factory black pipe that needs to go on it. I was looking for something even more flexible but I couldnt find anything.I tried cutting it bigger and even put a slit in it. Not working for me.

Problem 2: The guy who originaly built my boat put a extra water passage through the firewall into the jet pump area. So there is 3 total and I have my dual cooling hooked up using 2 of them and I am trying to find some sort of cap to put over it and clamp it. Once again I couldnt find anything.

These are the only 2 things holding me back from going jet skiing tom.

Thanks

Dan

problem 1: are you talking about a cooling line hose being too small? I assume that is what you mean. Just go to an advanced auto or similar and find the correct hose size.

problem 2: i would squirt some silicone in both ends to seal them up. just a glob, NOT fill the tube.

Ohh sorry no Im talking about the actual end of the champer that the exhaust flows through and then the black pipe makes a 90 turn into the waterbox

If you don't want to permanently fill the pipe, put a short length of hose on the pipe inside the engine bay with a bolt (same size as inside diameter of hose) in the end of the hose. Put hose clamps on each end of the hose to hold the hose and bolt in place.

or...

depending on your pump setup, hookup the stock bilge siphon system again.

One thing you might consider is to use an automotive tailpipe expander (about $12.00 from Harbor Freight) and heat gun to expand your current hose. Do this slowly and in two or three stages over the course of two days and it will be permanently enlarged.

problem 2 - take a piece of cooling line about 3 inches long or so and hose clamp it on the fitting. then fold the end of it over itself and put a hose clamp over the fold to hold it closed.

My Carbon Mod Chamber has a larger than standard exit. I put a pot of water on the BBQ and brought it to a boil and stuck the silicone fitting in the water for 10 minutes. It dropped on nice and easy. Use tongs to fetch and good thick gloves to handle the fitting and make sure to place alignment markers on the pipe and coupler first, once that thing cools there's no adjusting it other than to pry it off and start again.
