Super Jet UMI Steering troubles

Seems like I can't keep the lock nut on my UMI steering system tight. Even with a brand new rebuild kit (including new lock nut) It will still loosen after a short ride.

Anyone have this problem and a fix?, thought with a new rebuild kit this wouldn't be an issue..

Two options I know of:

1. Use red Loctite and wait 24 hours for it to cure. I've used this (with a Nyloc nut) and it's never come loose on me again.

Agreed with Matt I had the same problem I put a brand new Nylock on and used red locktite waited till the next day and its been fine for the past month. The krok kollar is really nice I would go that route but I'm cheap.

had the krok collar still came loose, ended up using Loctite with it 2.

I run red loctite with a lockable nut plus a hose clamp around the nut. A bit overkill, maybe...but it has yet to come loose!
