And here's the update on my 550/650. Some of you might have seen the pole I snapped, so I had to put on a new one. I also converted the electronics to the 550 because the 650 starter relay finally went out(not in pics). I also had some fiberglass damage on the bottom I had to repair.
87 550/650- 650 motor, 750 cases, sbn44, prok f/a, Westcoast mani and pipe, milled head, lightened stock flywheel, water box eliminated, resonator and coffmans inline silencer, 550 pump w/ 19* skat, ocean pro reduction nozzle, wescoast intake grate, ocean pro rideplate, dual 500 and 800gph rule bilge pumps....
Where do you have you bilge pumps mounted. I have one under the drive shaft and one under the fuel separator and in front of the fuel tank. The front one is a tight fit... Is there a better location?

I have both mounted in the back near the drive shaft. I thought about doing it the way you have yours, but the one up front would sit really high because of the curve of the hull and it would have to have a really long bilge hose.
I plan to get the blowsion hood air tubes or make a custom baffle system inside the hood so all of the water will dump into the back of the engine compartment. The blowsion hood tubes are bendable and slightly larger and you can cut them to the length you want. http://www.blowsion.com/products/196-hood-baffle-air-intake-tube-and-flange-kit.aspxI put the one up front because I like to do fountains sometimes and with the front down it can really fill with water. The front one is also on the right side ( same side as the carb). You're right about the really long bilge hose though.
Those are some sweet skiscouple of built during the ealry years.....
Shazzam!
I miss this little guy...

What footholds are those? I'm putting some on my conversion ski over the winter and I'm trying to figure out the best ones that will fit in a 550 tray.
