:dunno:

don't see how it would be more effective than a finger throttle, but it's your ski to experiment w/....

I have always loved the yamaha twist trim... I have always said someone should integrate that into a big throw trim system

wouldnt be too hard...just use a sram twist shifter for a mtb

ARM PUMP WILL QUADROOPLE AFTER A HARD DAYS RIDING.

escuse caps. but i ride moto and standup and the pole is enough to deal with on a standup let alone a twist throttle aswell.

the trigger throttle is the best possible way to have a throttle. the only reason they done have it on a motor bike is because they need brake/clutch levers. you will notice pretty much any bike style motor thing that only has one break lever or none has a trigger throttle. (ski doo, jetski, auto quads.)

The index finger is the is strongest and most agile, why would i want to 'remove' that while grabbing the grips?

The only PWC that makes sense to use a finger throttle is standups.

because you need less grip on a stand up?

Just my $0.02... I had a quad as a kid and put a twist on it. Well the first few times riding it were sketchy at best. I tore off down the trail on it not expecting the effects of the twist throttle. Well I hit some bumps, fall almost off the back of the ski and accidently twisted the throttle. Well it caused me to apply more gas and I wrecked. That happened three total times before I got used ot the twist throttle. Then when someone would ask ot ride my quad... it happened ot them too.

I think it would be a fun experiment and shouldn't cost you too awful much. I would do it just to be different! Terry cable can make you custome cables if need be. I say go ahead and try it. But.. it might be sketcy the first few rides. I have a finger throttle myself but I don't see what was supposedly so bad about the thumb throttles.

BTW someoen makes a twist/thumb combo for quads.

Always good advice from dbrutherford...but

Ahhhh.... the 'snap' of the throttle, just seems more 'Zen" like.

Forget the front brake lever, on a dirtbike, who would want a finger throttle instead?
