twin water jacket division?

Is the piece im missing from the top of the water divider important? It was oxidized when I had my head off
last and now its gone. Probably a stupid question but I cant find anything on this part.

It is just a zinc anode. It's sacrificial and is there to protect against electrolysis.. It's not really important unless you are going to leave the ski in the water or something. If you flush it out when you are done, you will be fine.

its probably floating around the cooling jacket of your cylinder somewhere.

the screw and the zinc on mine are wedged between the outer casting and the sleeve. i cant even get them to budge so i just left them there.

haha, thats funny b/c the same exact thing happened to mine. i just left it also.

I got mine out and it was wedger in there pretty good as well.
