Other turning only left..

So all you goofy footers who are feeling more comfortable on left turns actually prefer ripping around a bouy with your chest scraping the water over dragging your a$$ around a corner??? That truely amazes me. I'm not saying it isn't true, I'm just saying it amazes me. I guess all the racers who practice there switch foot stance so they can have their back to the water on every bouy have been wasting there time. I wonder why they even bother to do that if its not an advantage?

I ride right foot forward and turn left better too... that doesn't mean anything about what is better for racing, just that it is just more comfortable.
I'm sure there is advantages to having there back to the buoy and thats why they practice it.

I was looking at some guys racing practice the other day and noticed they were changing foot position depending on the turn. When I put my right foot forward, I am not stable at all no matter how I turn.

Just a guess, but kinda like how your body follows your head....(looking back for the landing in a BF, or turning on a motorcycle)
maybe the way your toes point makes a more comfortable turn. I know, that's out there a bit. But I have no problem turning in either direction with both feet in the rear holds. Both directions feel equally uncomfortable! lol.
I'm sure the members that race have a better perspective on this.

I was debating about starting a similar thread,

I've just recently started getting tray time on my new ski so theres a lot of 're-learning' going on.
For whatever reason, my ski turns left poorly. I think its my steering nozzle setup. I tried to get it on center with as much throw as possible in both directions.
I'm gonna re-adjust it and ride some more on Sat.

I'm a righty, right foot in the hold, left foot forward. Since my ski turns right dramaticly better than left I tried some nose stabs to the right yesterday. Total failure, I don't even know what I was doing wrong, maybe not stomping on the the tray on the second bounce. But I think its because my right foot is back, I can't leverage the ski around with my body.

Anybody throw rolls or stabs to the right?
