turfing rails pissing me off...

i bought DAP contact cememt.. follow the directions.. and it wont stick.. gah wtf.... any one have any better advice. it seems to just not want to stick . i used 80 grit paper to sand the rails down a bit then applied waited and its coming up so easy... wtf

You need to wait until the glue is dry.

Then have another beer and wait another 10 minutes.
Then stick it down. No sooner.

Yep and beat it to death with a rubber mallet. Also use acetone before glue and I use two layers of contact cement but I'm not sure how much it helps....

Doubt it. Make sure it's evenly dry (no wet patches) on both surfaces

it should be so dry it's not even tacky before you stick them together, use a heat gun and you can mold it perfectly

green is water base not good !!!!

I actually think the gel is better. Less mess.

yes must use the red can i really like the gel formula they have..and using a heat gun really helps with the molding...make sure you have plenty of ventalation when using the red can i will never stress this enough..three years ago i had an incident when using this stuff to lay down a new sub floor in my house and now the right half of my face is now paralized from over exposeure to chemicals.....PLENTY OF VENTALATION!!!
