Turfing rails..need advice

I began turfing my rails a few nights ago. So far I glued down the turf to the top an side part of the rail. Im a little concerned about underneath becuase im afraid the turf might fall off..Is contact cement good enough or can I use epoxy? I even went as far as filling in the rivet holes so water wont push the turf off from behind.

contact cement will work just fine... make sure to rough up the surface of the ski with sand paper.... i usually put three coats of contact cement on the turf and two on the ski (allowing to dry between coats). Use a heat gun to warm it up so it's nice and plyable... then use a rubber mallet to beat out any air bubbles.

when finished, trim the turf at the bond line with a razor at a slight angle to keep the turf from catching the water...

mines been on there for three years now with just contact cement.
