Turfing Cyclones

So first time turfing and it happens to be with footholds. It took 4 hours for one side, and let me tell you it didnt turn out how I wanted. I was going for the no seam and ended up with 4 seams. I padded the whole foothold is that the problem or am I missing something? I used a heat gun and everything.

Nice job on the turf. The first time I did a ski you would think the only sold turf in 1'x1' squares. I remember one side had 4 pieces on it. Since I discovered heat guns & deadblow hammers 4 pieces for the whole tray is a walk in the park. I'm shooting for no seams and no over stretched spots that like to wear through or crack on my next turf job.

I've never seen a picture of a backie and got out my magnifine glass to see if there was a seam. It looks good.
