Harrison I would use you ski but I will ride bettr on an X2. All I can do on a stand up is subs, ride on the hood, and fall off at speed...

$200 in fuel to get there
$100 for apba
$75 for entry fee per class
$130 hotel per night
$100 food

if you win
$10 trophy or medal....
just doesnt add up to me

i can stay home
5 min from water
i can freeride for free
or i can set out some bouys and rail w d smith for free
and have plenty of $10 medals i can give myself
and when the days done ....
i sleep in my own bed

that is just an estimate for expenses.

you can purchase a 1 weekend APBA license and not pay the full amount.......

you can split the hotel, ride with someone to split the gas.........

That is a little better. I was hoping to atleast split the gas bill. I spent almost 400 bucks last month on gas! Trips back and forth to Cullman add up. This is in a 17 mph Ford Ranger. I don't know how peopel with big dualie disels do it... I would rather save my gas money for ski gas and drive the 5 min I live from the river to ride.

Paul is paying 25.oo per day for the 1st rider that came forward on this thread which was kawaboy101.

The entry fee's are 50.00 per day because trophy's and points are awarded each day as 2 events. + the APBA card cost. It is an expensive weekend-I will not deny that. But the feeling you leave with is absolutely
PRICELESS!!!!!

Again, it's not as much win,lose,or die as it is the freestyle competitors coming together in one location promoting and helping each to go big and stupid. It's just something you have to experience. I have given myself pure hell over not being able to roll yet, but at the event no one other rider will say one negative thing if I can't roll by then. On the other hand they will try their hardest to help me or any other rider that shows up to compete!!!

Put that ranger in 3rd or 4th gear,it runs faster than 17mph that way.:nana:
