tuning your boat at the ramp PICS INCL

So tomorrow i will be going to the water. i feel the 2 turns L screw and 1.8 turns H screw on the dual set up is okay.

i say this because of my spark plug reading. So i put some new plugs in and ran it on the hose for maybe 30-40 secs only idling and the odd 1/4 throttle rev. they looked like how it is in the pic but with fuel/oil mixture WET in Patches on the plug. apon touching it is thick and sticky, deffinatly 32;1 lol.

so now looking at the colour of the porcelain, what do you recon? are these carbs close/good enough to run?
good enough and Rich enough for the break in procedure, ill be doing SBTs 10 idle then 30 min on off 20 the 50% throttle break in tomorrow.

stock settings are

1 and 1/16 of a turn for the LOW and 15/16 for the HIGH. so my carbs currently are pretty much double.
attached is the service manual i believe. has factory settings. i believe my boat is a 87, but not sure. doesnt really have a stock motor at all anyways.

anyways, if you can get a reading off these pics and info and help me out in any way, shape or form

What he said ^. For reading the plugs you need to be WOT for a while and then kill the engine and check the plugs. Idling will make them look rich.

*My preferred method *

Push the nose of the ski onto the shore of the lake.
Make sure there's atleast 24" between the intake grate and the lakebed so your not sucking up sand/pebbles ect.
Have a buddy stand on the bondline while you start playing with her till you get the low end right.
Then take it out to tune the rest.

Make sure you read this (so it's fresh in your head) RIGHT BEFORE you start making adjustments!
