Tubbies, Surf and Flatwater?

I looked at a lot of threads tonight and still dont know what to do.

I have a set of tubbies two that i am debating putting on my 750sx before i paint. I hear good and bad things. i ride surf and flatwater and dont want to make it better in the surf and worse in the falt water. i would like them to help both ways if i am going to install them. I enjoy doing flatwater tricks ie subs and maybe some day soon rolls. So i dont want to build the ski to be stable in the surf and make it harder for flatwater tricks. If you could share you thoughts with me that would help me make a better decision. Thanks.

what flat water tricks are you doing? what do you want to do ? on flat water tubbies make a lot more spary when a lot of weight is on the hood. Doing any riding on hood or sitting on the hood is another learing curve  ski is very twichie. subs i did not see much differance maybe have to lean forward more
or a little more angle. rolls will be harder.
in surf , if it helps the a cow like the sj you will never turn back, it is the best mod i believe you can do. :cheer2:
you just have to weigh how much of both you ride. yes on flat days they don't make me happie but on surf days look out they are like crazy good

I love them in the surf wouldn't want to have a ski without them. It's been awhile since i rode in flat, but when i did i didn't like it so much. it turns sharp and corners well,if you are running bouys or racing it would be great. i prefer to have the ski slide more in the flat stuff, subs seemed harder too. But then again i've only ridden it a couple times in flatwater so maybe i just needed to get use to it.

I want to do them all! Right now all i can do is subs, and the turn sub(corckscrew sub or w/e). and sit on the hood and cruise up there.

so far what i get is they are:

SURF: GREAT
FLATWATER RACING: GOOD
FLATWATER FREESTLYE: BAD

is that about right? if so i dont think i want to put them on my boat.

I wouldn't want a SJ without tubbies on flat or surf.
Big improvement all around, IMHO.
