trying to find a good freestyle hood.....

well, i am getting the materials and cost ready for the winter build. I am re-building my 96 superjet. Well, the hull that is. I am going to re-enforce, re-turf it, and re-paint it. I've been looking at the freestyle hoods. I've pretty much read all the threads on here about each company who produces them. My problem is, i really don't want to spend 700-800 bucks on a hood. Has anyone ever built there own hood? or any ideas? or should i just spend the money and get one? thanks!

just buy one, you can modify a stocker but personally i dont think its worth the hastle
if not, keep running the stocker, its a good hood.
