Super Jet Trim system setup questions (and how to use them)

Have a Wamilton's trim system. When I am on the throttle I really can't pull the lever in to activate it. I've been trying to set up into the waves/wakes and get off the throttle, pull the trim, and then get back on the throttle. I lose a lot of drive off the wave and wind up pushing the back end around but not getting any height. I would think you should be able to power into the wave and then as the nose rises and you are driving forward/up then pull the trim to start the rotation (without letting off the throttle).

I'm I too weak?
I may have it trimmed to high (ie. if I can decrease the excursion of the trim that should give me more leverage). Can I adjust it to give me less travel (had to cut out most of my rear bond line to clear the trimmed nozzle)

That sounds familiar. I am running an xmetal trim and have the same issue. But there's a ton of force from the water going through the nozzle. So very hard to pull. Makes sense that it's so hard. I wonder how the Thrust ez pull works as compared to yours and mine? Others will chime in I'm sure. I ride 95% flat fresh water. Unfortunately...

thrust ez-pull and wamiltons are the same.

Normal... I understand what you're saying about staying on the throttle. However, when you let off the throttle right before you hit your wave, you have the ability to sink the tail and change the angle of the ski. Both of these allow you to more efficiently ride up the wave/wake. By staying on the throttle, you're relying solely on the wave to change your direction instead of changing your direction and riding up the wave. Unless it's a huge wakeboarding boat with a whitecapping wake, I always blip, let off, and then give it the beans up the wake.

You're fighting against a couple hundred pounds of pump thrust. You won't be pulling it on the throttle, sorry.
Just let off right before

Are you going into the wave with too much speed? Maybe just practice your speed and timing? With that motor, even without trim you should be getting decent height.

Does your system have return spring on it? My X Metal trim has a spring on the nozzle I think I'm gonna take it off

Do have a return spring, but with the force of water through the nozzle I can't imagine taking it off would help much.

Deftons, I can get good height without the trim. With the trim I just seem to flop over backwards.
