Trim system blues

I was still riding on my knees warming the ski up when the trim let go. Talk about a PIA to get that thing back to shore. I was legdragging the best I could but it is difficult when you are pulling the nozzle is behind you. Destoyed the trim ring, ripped the plastic fitting that goes on the steering cable through the hull off, stripped the threads on one side of the nozzle, broke the trim tab and screwed up my steering cable. :banghead: :aargh4: I think I may be down for the rest of the season. Good year tough.

I think what happened was a bolt let go, stripping the threads, sheering odd the trim ring on the opposite side, taking the trim tab in the process and shooting off the back of the boat, almost destroying the cable in the process.

crapppppy:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: how'd it run till then?:cool2:

Ski is a rocket. You can tell that the porting on the motor is for mid to top end power but it yanks!! :cool2: It is one of those deals where I have adjusted to the power and it just feels normal to me but I get on a 701 for a bit then hop back on my boat and I am like holy sh$#!!!!! It is not too much power, just enough to make you smile  I still have more tuning to do but it is mainly just...........if I change this parameter what happens Just hunting for more power. You can always find that extra pony or two somewhere
