TRim help please

I have a great X-2 that is in real nice shape. I noticed that the thru-hull fitting on the back of the ski where the trim comes out was not attached. It was aout 1/2 inch out. What do I use to seal up the brass fitting to the fiber-glass. 3m 5200? Will this be strong enough? The brass fitting that fits in the fiber-glass will have to adhere to something since the out side edge is gone. The fitting pattern is fin and the brass fitting slides in with a little help. What should I use to hold it in place tight and to make a waterptoof seal. Thanks, J

Aint that the truth. I cant get my aluminum gas tank mounts to stay put worth a ******** with west epoxy. I think you'd want to use 5200 because thru hull fittings are prone to flexing and 5200 flexs nicely.
are you using the g-flex or the 105 we fixed two boat's that lost the ride plate and grate insert's and they are doing great, 5200 might do it use fast cure if you use 5200 though.
good luck

Really..... Ya PM me how much you want shipped to 07750. I have a small aluminum bar that I was going to drill and tap, then lay carbon on top of it. The aluminum by itself (minus carbon) keeps poping off of the hull, whenever I land wrong and its kind of annoying at this point. I was only using west epoxy, then I tried adding a bunch of 404 to help bond, but it still popped right off the hull.

EDIT: Motorhead regular West 105.
